Hi, I’m Alicia!

I’m Alicia Johnson, the founder of Midcoast Tech Lady. I help people across Belfast and Midcoast Maine make sense of technology, solve frustrating problems, and feel more confident using the devices they depend on every day.

My background is a little unconventional. I’m a maritime archaeologist, digital marketing professional, photographer, and technology enthusiast who has spent more than a decade living and working internationally. I’ve used everything from everyday computers and smartphones to advanced 3D imaging software, underwater robotics, and digital mapping technology.

A Local Face Behind Your Tech Support

I’ve worked on projects documenting historic shipwrecks in the Red Sea, participated in a major imaging expedition to the Titanic, and appeared in documentaries for the Discovery Channel and Canal+. I also hold a master’s degree in Maritime Archaeology and bachelor’s degrees in History and Classics.

Alongside my archaeological work, I’ve spent over a decade building digital marketing strategies, managing websites, creating content, and helping organizations use technology more effectively.

After years of working around the world, I’ve made my home in beautiful Midcoast Maine. I started Midcoast Tech Lady because I recognized a simple problem: technology should make our lives easier, but too often, it does exactly the opposite.
